The mind and body are not separate. We treat them as one.
At CIMR, Integrative Psychiatry addresses mental health as both a psychological and a biological process, looking at the physical drivers of mood, anxiety and cognition alongside conventional psychiatric care.

Mental health is shaped by more than thoughts and circumstances. Measurable biological factors influence mood, anxiety, focus and resilience: inflammation, gut health and the gut-brain axis, hormonal balance, blood sugar stability, nutrient status, sleep and nervous system regulation.
When these are disturbed, they can drive or worsen symptoms that talking therapy and medication alone may not fully resolve. Because they can be assessed, they can be addressed as part of a broader plan.
Our approach works alongside conventional psychiatric care, not instead of it. By addressing the physical foundations of mental health, we aim to improve symptoms, resilience and quality of life through a whole-person plan.
